Terry Crews Uses THIS Technique to Maintain his Impressive Physique
Crews is a big boy. The Brooklyn Nine Nine actor maintains his weight at 245 lbs and being this bulked up is in no way, an easy feat. Terry can easily give the younger lot of Chris Hemsworth, Jason Momoa and Dwayne Johnson, a run for their money. And did we mention he’s over 50?
Although his character on the comedy show is forever snacking on yoghurt, in real life, the actor does not eat anything before noon. That’s because the former NLF player uses intermittent fasting to maintain his impressive physique. And the results speak for themselves… you must have seen him in the shirtless Old Spice ad, right? He begins his day at 4:45 am and does not eat a morsel until 2:00 pm, which is 16 hours without food, considering his last meal was his dinner the night before! Instead he takes a lot of vitamins in the morning and sips on water + amino acids all through the day.
At 6:00 am, our man is ready to hit the gym, high on vitamins and water. He has a quick 5 minute warm up and puts on an audiobook while he works out. He’s in the gym 5 days a week; Monday is for legs, on Tuesdays he does arms and chest, Wednesdays involve abs, running and stretching, Thursday is for working the back and finally Friday is for plyometric exercises and shoulders. His repetitions go in a descending manner from 10 to 8, 6 and finally 4. After ending all his workouts with a 4 mile run, he’s finally done by 8:00 am. Lunch for the actor is at 2:00 pm with usually a bacon omelet, protein shake and salad. Dinner is at 6:00 pm and no way is he skipping his dessert. By 9:30 pm, he is tucked into bed.
So it is advisable to skip food for 16 hours? The health experts are torn but a lot of them consider intermittent fasting to be safe. Of course, you should talk to your doctor before even attempting to do what terry does!
