Causes of itchy skin
Itching of the skin is known as ‘PRURITUS,’ and about 11% of the population is going through it. Some of the factors can be eczema, skin dryness, bug attacks, poisonous ivy, and chickenpox. There are times every part of your body will itch or a particular spot. The duration for itchy skin vary, it may be for weeks or months. Some medications cause itching and symptoms may bring eczema related dry skin. Examples of such drugs are pain-relieving drugs, sulfa pills, antibiotics, and some drugs used by psychiatric patients.
In case you use some of the drugs above and your skin itches, as a result, consult your doctor and discuss the possibility of getting replacements for the drugs. However, use antihistamines and skincare balms in case your drugs cannot be replaced for you.
